The days are getting longer and everyone seems to start to come outside after the long winter. Everyone is making spring home improvement plans to get their homes ready for summer one thing we love to do at our home each year is to start planting flowers and shrubs around our home. However, after working for a security company for the past 3 years i know think twice before i plant anything around my home. Working for Central jersey security Cameras the past 3 years has taught me a thing or two in home security and keeping my family safe. Don’t get me wrong i love planting each spring and do add a shrub or to to my home each year i just now i choose where i plant more wisely. I have a home security system on my home with cameras throughout the perimeter of my home and now when i plant i take into consideration will the shrub i plant ever block my camera’s view as it grows. I also think about the shrubs and the lighting around my house. As shrubs grow will it effect the lighting around my home and give my yard dark spots that can make it easier for a would be intruder to come up to my home. Keeping my family and home safe is a priority for me I run Alarm test on my home alarm system monthly and i make sure my security cameras always have clear views of my home and the surrounding areas. Making sure you equipment is working properly and making sure you do not add shrubs to an area to block you cameras views are just a few quick ways i help keep my family and home safe.
